Fabiola Bueno, Founder and Managing Partner

Fabiola is the founder of The Group Research and the leading contact to each client. She has 15 years of experience leading international transactions in Wall Street, Washignton D.C., Sao Paulo and many others.

 

As an investment-banker in Credit Suisse New York, Fabiola participated in IPOs, follow-on offerings and M&A transactions with aggregate value in excess of $1.5 billion dollars from 1998 to 2001. She sequentially focused on distressed debt in Latin America and ranked #1 Credit Strategy Research Team in Wall Street by Institutional Investor Magazine in 2003. Fabiola left Credit Suisse to attend law school and immediately joined the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C. as an attorney, advising on the rise of mortgage-backed securities market in Brazil.

 

Fabiola joined an investment-banking boutique in Miami in 2006, participating in an IPO at the Alternative Investments Market at the London Stock Exchange and several private placement transactions with aggregate amount of US$500 million dollars. She also steered accredited foreign investors during the 2008-2009 financial crisis helping produce double-digits return to their portfolios. From 2012 to 2015 Fabiola took an active role in structuring and developing construction projects in the U.S.

 

Ms. Bueno began her career as a lawyer in Brazil at renowned law firm Tozzine, Freire Teixeira e Silva, after receiving a law degree from the University of São Paulo (“USP”), one of the most prestigious universities in Brazil, where she continues to be an active legal practitioner (OAB-SP). In the U.S., Fabiola earned a Master of Laws degree (L.L.M.) at the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. degree in Finance with High Academic Merit from University of Miami, becoming a member of the Beta, Gama, Sigma Honor Society for Business Schools. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
